While having a debrief and a cup of tea in the Bridge of Orchy Hotel following previous callout, team recieved a call from a Mountain Guide on Beinn Udlaidh reporting two climbers avalanched out of Central Gully. Mass stampede down Glen Orchy by Oban, Arrochar and Strathclyde Police MRT ensued. As team's gained lip of corrie, Navy Helicopter Rescue 177 arrived on scene and lifted one casualty to the Southern General. Team checked out other person avalanced but was ok and walked off unaided. A very busy day for Scottish Mountain Rescue with 2 climbers killed in an avalanche in No.3 Gully on Ben Nevis, and another climber killed in an avalanche on Liathach in Torridon. All avalanches occured within a few hours of each other.
