The team were called out at 1646 to assist a man with a leg injury and unable to continue his descent of Meall Bhuidhe, Bridge of Orchy. A helicopter and Arrochar MRT were also called and en route. The first Oban MRT personnel arrived at 1800 just as Rescue 177 helicopter dropped the casualty and his companion beside their car having picked them up from the hill. The casualty was sufficiently fit to be driven home by his companion. The team were stood down and all returned to base by 1930hrs. |

The team were called out at 17.18 hrs to search for a woman who was reported overdue after walking on Ben Achaladair, Bridge of Orchy. The missing person had left her walking companions earlier in the day to return to their base whilst the group continued along the Ben Achaladair ridge. When the group completed their walk they did not find her back at base.
The Oban team were joined by Arrochar, RAF Leuchars and Strathclyde Police mountain rescue team personnel to search the Achaladair ridge and corries. Rescue 137 helicopter was later tasked to assist the search and quickly located the missing person on the south side of the hill. She was lifted to safety and found to be well. All stood down by 2150 hrs and returned to base after 2300 hrs. |

The team were called out at 10.30am to join Strathclyde Police Mountain Rescue Team rescue a man who had fallen on the main walkers path on Ben Dorain and injured his leg. The police team were training in the area and reached the casualty first shortly followed by Oban team members. Team medics administered first aid before the casualty was stretchered off the hill to a waiting ambulance for onward transport to hospital for treatment of a suspected ankle fracture. All home by 1505hrs. |

The team were called out at 2010 to assist Strathclyde Police find a lost hill walker on Ben Cruachan. The walker had a GPS but no map and had become disorientated when night fell. He was able to report his location co-ordinates via mobile phone contact. Team members used these co-ordinates and the light of the walker’s head torch to locate him and accompany him back to team vehicles and from there back to his car. All home by 2300 hrs.

The team were called out to assist Strathclyde Police Mountain Rescue, Fire and Rescue Service ,Coastguard and rescue helicopters search the water and surrounding loch side at Loch Awe for a person/s that had been heard shouting, apparently in distress. The team helped search the area surrounding the reported shouting but were eventually stood down after nothing was found and the conclusion that incident was a false alarm. |
