Callout - Lost walker on Ben Cruachan - Sunday 13th October 2011

The team were called at 17.05 hrs on Sunday 13th October to assist a man lost on Ben Cruachan. He had been to summit of Cruachan and on the descent had lost his way in the clag. Deputy leader, Ian Campbell, established contact with the man on his mobile phone and was able to establish his location. He then instructed him to walk in a direction that brought him to a track where he was met by the team safe and well. All were off the hill by 1800 hrs.
 
Callout - Woman with ankle injury - Campbeltown - 19 August 2011

Two team members assisted a woman with suspected broken ankle in Glen Breackerie south of Campbeltown on 19th August 2011. They were assisted by Ambulence crew and Rescue 177 sea king helicopter. The casualty was lifted by the helicopoter and flown to hospital whilst team members escorted the rest of her walking party off the hill.  
 
 
Callout – Shepherd with fatal injuries Glen Noe – 8th August 2011

The team was called out at 20.37hrs to assist a shepherd with fatal injuries and his two companions on slopes above Glen Noe. The team arrived within an hour as Rescue 177 Sea King Helicopter arrived on scene. The helicopter lifted the casualty as team members ascended the hill to assist the remaining two shepherds off the hill. Team stood down at 23.18hrs

 
Callout - Search for two missing hill walkers - Ben Fhionnlaidh Glen Creran - 24 May 2011

Oban MRT were called out to search for two overdue hill walkers on Beinn Fhionnlaidh at the head of Glen Creran. Team located hill walkers on road as they approached the RV. All safe and well.

Callout – Man suffering from cramp – Beinn Mhic Mhonaidh – Glen Orchy – 26th March 2011

 The team were called at 1600 hrs to assist a 52 year old man suffering from severe cramp in his legs and chest pains. He was in a party of 6 near summit of Beinn Mhic Mhonaidh, Glen Orchy. The team arrived to find Helimed 5 helicopter had landed near the group and picked up the casualty and taken him to Glasgow. The remaining 5 were assisted off the hill and the team returned to base by 18.30 hrs.
